We are excited to welcome anyone interested in software development to attend one of our meetup talks.
All attendees are expected to follow the Code of Conduct at Cincinnati Software Craftsmanship events.
The Cincinnati Software Craftsmanship meetup takes place the first Wednesday of each month (delayed by a week if there is a holiday).
We host virtual events using both Zoom and Twitch.
Before the presentation, we get together on Zoom to socialize and catch up with each other. The Zoom link is posted right before 5:30 in the event description or comment on both Meetup and LinkedIn.
The main presentation takes place on our Twitch channel.
After the Twitch stream has wrapped up, we get back together on Zoom to discuss the presentation. Often the speaker is able to join and answer questions from attendees. This session usually lasts about half an hour.
This session uses the same Zoom link as the pre-presentation session, which will be posted in the event description or comment on both Meetup and LinkedIn.
In-person events for Cincinnati Software Craftsmanship are held at Kroger Digital in downtown Cincinnati. Kroger Digital is located in the Atrium Two building on the south side of the lobby. Someone will be at the door to unlock it and let attendees in as they arrive.
There is a streetcar stop at Main and 4th, half a block away from Kroger Digital. Government Square is two to three blocks away, where most buses stop downtown.
There are several parking meters available within a few blocks for $2.75/hr. Some streets do not allow parking between 4 PM and 6 PM, keep an eye out for signage. Read more about parking meters here.
There are a variety of parking lots and garages available downtown. You can find a map of available garages here. Note that there is often event pricing in place during Reds games and other events downtown.
Before the presentation we get together to eat and catch up in the open area of the Kroger Digital offices. Sponsors provide food to eat ranging from sandwiches to burritos to pasta. Attendees gather at the different tables in the space to chat and network with others.
Around 6 PM the organizers will make an announcement that we are starting to clean up and move into the presentation room for the talk.
The presentation starts! Presentations usually last between 40 to 60 minutes.
If you need to visit the restroom, please find one of the organizers to get directions and a code to unlock the door.
